How To Create Stories That Grow Your Business With Talia Prairie
Thursday Apr 26, 2018
Thursday Apr 26, 2018
Creating the perfect story that will resonate with your audience and grow your business on social media can be challenging. If you are a social brand, you know that stories (along with video) are all the hype right now . If you are lost in all the filters, stickers and options each platform offers to create stories don't feel like you are alone. I have a lot of clients that frankly get overwhelmed with the ever changing advertising and social media platforms.
Today's guest Talia Prairie from Bounce Society and I talk about the latest updates to stories and just how to make your brand more personal through story creation. At the end of the day people want a connection. They want to feel something from the content that you are providing, which is always easier said than done.
Did you know Over 250 million people use Instagram Stories every day. And, our experience with clients is that half of them are using them inefficiently. So what is the definition of a Instagram or Facebook story? Stories are temporary videos or photos that are strung together to form a slideshow gallery that, well, tells a story. A great business tool for small businesses is Instagram's ability to allow users who have 10,000 or more followers to add links to their stories. These links allow your viewers to “swipe up” on your story to follow a direct link for them to either purchase what you are selling or sign up for what you are promoting. I highly suggest getting a experience social media agency or consultant like myself to work with you on gaining targeted followers to reach your 10k goal. However, if you don't have 10,000 followers don't worry. You can see results from story creations without having a large number if you have a strategy in place.
In This Podcast You Will Learn:
How to turn a anyone's face into a sticker
A creative way to collaborate with influencers
How to add a GIF to your stories
How to go live with a friend or colleague
The benefits of jumping on a trampoline

Wednesday Sep 06, 2017
Fashion is big business! Promoting and scaling your fashion events is bigger business. On my latest podcast, I sat down with Kathy Marino of OC Fashion Week, Raad Ghantous, founder of RG & A and Kimberly Hoang with Amazing Lash Studios. Together these three are a dynamic team for creating memorable and fashionable events. Each guest brings insight on how to cover your live events and how to create successful event strategies.
I remember the first time I heard about #OCFW, I was so excited that my hometown, was finally going to have a space in the fashion industry. I started promoting the event before even reaching out to Kathy because I knew how under-served this market was. I believe this was back in 2014, during the time when I started working heavily with influencers to help promote my beauty clients products and consult with them on how to reach out to brands professionally for PR pieces. The times have definitely changed since then, with me at the forefront of each movement taking it all in.
I was recently asked if my tips on the show help with any business sector and strategy and not just with those entrepreneurs in the beauty wheelhouse - Absolutely! If you follow me, you know that I have deep roots within the beauty industry and my specialty is marketing for brands in this sector. However, my guests and I offer up tips that will help you grow your business regardless of your niche.
So, if you aren't in the fashion industry, but want to learn more about event marketing this episode is still for you! By listening to the show you will learn how to select sponsors that will resonate with your brand messaging and align with your target market, create and select appropriate and visually appealing venues, promote your event through influencer marketing, cover your live events with video content and educational scripts and much more.
